so again i am having a pretty lazy saturday. i'm heading to the y in a couple of hours to get a little calorie burning action. i would go to the lake but it's about 97 degrees outside, i heard we broke a high temp record yesterday and likely will today. i also heard on the news that if you are fair skinned you will likely sunburn in 15 minutes. holy moly...keep me out of the sun.
tonight we are heading to the "goddess workshop" a new exhibit featuring work by an old friend dirk hooper - it's basically fetish photography. mmmmm....it should be interesting.
i am also starting to psych myself up for this coming week. wednesday i leave for the family trip and will probably be home on sunday. since i'm laptopless there will likely be no blogging during that time. which makes me think i need a laptop because this could potentially be prime blogging material. i will at least take notes so i can give a proper recap.
i am excited because my 75 year old grandma has never been to the beach so we are definitely doing that on the trip.
i've been reading some movie posts so i wanted to pass this along . e and i saw "art school confidential" last weekend. it brought up the classic art questions - what is good art? what should be considered talent? but other than that i found it pretty annoying and slow. and in the first 10 minutes there was full frontal male nude scene - which is never a pretty thing. but that's just me.

Have a great trip Christie...cherish the time with your grandmother and be sure to take pictures of her first visit to the beach! For most, experiencing the ocean is a phenomenal thing...I hope she finds it breathtaking and awesome. Enjoy the book on the way down. I imagine you will find some challenges in it much more trying then the ones you might face on your trip! Remember, it's all about PERSPECTIVE. Be safe and take notes! : )
