i've been having an off and on discussion with the gals at work about how somedays it's so easy to eat right. you don't crave the bad stuff, eating chicken and vegetables sounds yummy and you can stop at one piece of chocolate. but then you have other days that you could eat...well everything within reach. and why is this? just life, hormones or stress? or is there something to it.
also i've noticed a trend among foodies (and i've found lots of them online - there are a bunch of us dysfuntional eating fools)and myself that we get in these crazy funks with food and exercise. for example two days ago everything was great, i'm eating right, exercising is fun and then boom...i hate myself, feel like a failure, want to eat everything i can, and in the end i'm worse of then when the funk started. will it make a difference if i recognize the funk? can i alter my emotional response to it?
blog funk and food funk...oh so similiar to me...i'm in or out.
for some reason i've been in a very introspective mood lately...it's rather exhausting.
and then we move on to the infamous half-marathon, which might just push me over the edge (edge of what, i'm not sure). today, i went out for 4 miles, ran almost 2 miles straight. i got to run early (5:00 ish) but my word it was hot. yesterday, i covered about 2 miles. so i'm still working at it...i am just worried and feel the pressure. and i'm realizing more and more...i don't like pressure. it freaks me out and makes me want to crawl in a hole. a very productive way to cure the stress of pressure.
i've got to wrap this up...i think three times today is enough.
