we have now entered the ice age of 2007. oh how i love sleet.
anyway, yesterday i learned the best job to have in an ice storm and the worst. the best - state worker. all state workers were allowed to leave at 10am yesterday. the worst - tv news reporter. seriously, the roads are slick, the temperature is hovering around 15 degrees and they are forced to stand on a median or overpass of a highway. i'm always scared i'm going to see some poor reporte ran over by a car that is wizzing by on the highway.
and why, why do people continue to drive on the belle isle bridge when it's slick? why? any of you who have lived here long know that someone will die, or drive off the bridge or end up facing the wrong direction during a storm.
anyway, we are house bound for a bit. blu has a cold and keeps hacking up something. e has been playing with his ipod and i'm contemplating making cookies. hopefully we will venture out soon or else it's going to be a long three day weekend (thanks to MLK). borat is playing at the dollar movies - surely that might be worth risking the echo for.

I'll admit it. Borat would be worth the Echo....but, I didn't say that outloud. Mmmmmmmmm, cookies. *sigh* It wouldn't be right without the sliders on the Belle Isle Bridge. catie
